ive got textile paints that i want to use for convenience (oil painting feels way too long to do) on my door to paint and give my room more personality--so can i use it?

Yup. All you need is regula latex paint, but fabric will work, too. It will not penetrate the existing finish, though. You'll have to be careful of scratching the image. Make sure it's not the textured kind. Painting over it will always have the raised impressions.
maybe for casual stencilling or other embellishing but not for the whole thing. it sounds like a horrid idea
