How does temperature changes affect paint on a wall?

Both the paint and the wall will expand when the temperature rises, and contract when the temperature lowers. The wall and paint expand and contract at different rates, so the paint can eventually crack, if it doesn't remain slightly flexible. How does temperature changes affect paint on a wall?
I don't think normal temperatures affect paint on a wall, but I think humidity does.%26gt;How does temperature changes affect paint on a wall?
DID You Just Get Done Painting?
it expands it, or melts it or causes it to shrink and crack
The temperature itself doesn't affect paint on a wall, but barometric pressure (humidity) does. If it's humid and there's more moisture in the air, it's going to take longer to dry. And vice versa. Hope this helps.
you don't want it cold because it will make the paint run.

if you paint do it on a kinda warm day and keep the house warm
The cold will not hurm your paint if the wall or object was treated properly it will only affect the time of dry from 1 day to 3, if on wall make shoure you use a solution to prevent moistiore, and if on metal use solvents to clean it not whater and make shoure you clean all ther rust, have fun paiting, and dont warry about temp unless you whant it dry tomorrow, just give it some time :)
I'm no pro at paint, but it seems if it were hot and humid, it would make the paint kinda sticky.
