Want 2 paint new wall so will i need 2 waterproof it first or does masonry paint have a waterproofing through?

You can buy undercoat from a DIY shop specially for painting onto newly plastered walls, otherwise you have to paint enough paint onto the wall untill the plaster has soaked enough up and then it will give you a good finish.

If you mean an extrior wall then just buy exterior wall paint and away you go.

Any problems ask the supplier for adviceWant 2 paint new wall so will i need 2 waterproof it first or does masonry paint have a waterproofing through?
no thats a myth best thing to do is thin down the first coat and then give it a further two coats of a good quality masonry and that should be sufficient but make sure you have given enough time for the render to completely dry out before doing anythingWant 2 paint new wall so will i need 2 waterproof it first or does masonry paint have a waterproofing through?
what you painting if its an internal wall newly plastered the wall doesn't need any prep so long as you have a good clean surface you can paint straight onto it or you can if you want mix down a bit of your paint with water this is called a mist coat for all you so called experts, you don't have too but new plaster soaks up paint like a sponge so this will give the wall a good base for your top coat, if you have enough paint you don't have to bother just go right ahead and give the wall two good coats, if your talking external then a couple of good coats of quality masonry paint will do i like smooth strong hold by crown this paint is excellent

and can be used on most masonry surfaces i wouldn't use any other but most good ones are up to the job
Is it plaster? Is it an outside wall? If it is an outside wall that is masonry or concrete then I would use Drylock to paint it. If it is an interior wall prime it then paint it with latex base paint or oil base paint if you prefer ( I prefer latex). Hope this helps.
OMG No - my plasterer told me to waterproof mine - its a pain cos some paints wont go on and now my kitchen looks flippin awful.

I was advised later by another plasterer that you waterproof it if you're going to wallpaper it - otherwise just paint onto the plaster, will just take a few more coats than usual
Check the paint it will say if it is waterproof.
