acetone will work but your best bet is to cover it with kilz paint and then retouch the spot with the wall color. if you don't have the same color paint then try the nail polish remover but you will run the risk of it bleeding the paint or smearing the nail polish even further on the wall. do a small test spot to see if it will work or if you will be ruining the wall.What will take off nail polish from a painted wall?

When i got nail varnish everywhere I just used nail varnish remover but it did fade the colour of the wood
