Paint accent wall please help?

Accent wall dilemma?

i am trying to paint an accent wall on textured sheetrock. i allready tried taping it and it still doesn't look like a clean line, freehand didn't work either, how can i get it straight or shpuld i buy a little peice of wood trim and paint it trim color for the sides of my accent wall to frame it in and hide my not so straight lines?Paint accent wall please help?
when you use your base color paint over the line you wish to create. once dry tape your straight line with blue painters tape, paint over the edge of the tape with the same color. let it just about dry, then re-paint with your accent. peel tape as soon as accent color has been applied. sooooo crispy!!!!Paint accent wall please help?
well what i do to get clean lines on texture walls or seiling is run a knife down the corner to clear away any bumbs and also it draws a line for me. This is assuming you can freehand a stait line.
So I take it that the wall in bumpy in texture and your line between the ceiling and wall isn't a clean one. You could use trim as you suggested (I never thought to do that one...lol) or don't try to get such a clean line because by the time you stand in the room and put things on the wall...It just kinds of looks like a clean line. One cool thought on the trim ... you could use a darker, lighter, or contrasting color to jazz it up.
We had the same problem and we are going to trim out/frame ours. We couldn't get it right either. The problem is, I have a lot of textured rooms to paint.
