How to strip emulsion paint off plaster wall?

Husband scrapping at present - big mess!! paint is flakey in places. How to strip emulsion paint off plaster wall?
That must be an awful job for him to do. The only thing i can think of is using a sharp scraper, some hot water, and a couple of glasses of wine will do the trick. Good luck to you both. How to strip emulsion paint off plaster wall?
Sounds as if there are several layers. Try Nitromores paint stripper.
Try painting a weak solution of Nitromorse over the walls, leave it for a bit then get the scraper back on.
What superlif said.

Emulsion is water based so you don't need chemical strippers.

Why are you scraping it off? You just paper or paint over it.
Just sand it of so all the flaky bits are gone, then seal the wall with a PVA primer (10 parts water ,1 part PVA), then just repaint it or paper depending on what you want. Oh you buy PVA from B%26amp;Q it will cost about a tenner

Don't strip it, it will take forever and is unneccsary
