Painting question. How do you paint a stairwell when the walls go up two floors?

I need to repaint my first floor foyer and the stairwell to the second floor. Problem is the wall is two stories high is some areas and I have no way of reaching those areas without building some sort of scaffold system. Anyone have an easier way. I can't hire a pro, this has to be DIY and inexpensive.Painting question. How do you paint a stairwell when the walls go up two floors?
You don't need to build a scaffold.

Get a ladder, a couple of 2 x 10 planks from the stair where you can reach the ceiling and put the other end into the ladder. Instant scaffold.

Or you can use two ladders.

They make tools that will go on the end of a pole that will allow you to apply paint within an eighth of an inch of the ceiling with out getting it on the ceiling. Walmart has some cheap ones for around 3.00Painting question. How do you paint a stairwell when the walls go up two floors?
