I always wanted to be a teacher. Since kindergarten, that was my dream. So it didn't surprise my mother when I started writing on the wall with chalk. She asked me to stop. She told me to stop. I kept writing on the wall. I wondered how she knew. I erased it with a tissue. I washed it with a wet tissue. She still knew. I couldn't figure out how she knew.
Now I'm a mother, and I know how she knew. If you follow your plan, you will mess up the paint. If you don't believe me, ask my mother.How can i draw on my wall and erase it without messing up the paint on my wall?
There's actually blackboard paint that you could use, then it would erase just like a real chalkboard.

You have to use special chalk board paint, you can't just paint your wall black and then go about marking all over it.
I would not do a entire wall. that would be to drab and dark. so get some chalkboard paint, mask off a nice size square and paint it...That sounds more practical
they have chalk board paint you can by in the spay can or the regular type roll on that comes in Black or Green, since you want to do art on your walls your best bet would be to invest i this paint you can then not worry about messing up the paint all you have to do is use chalk (colored or other) and wipe it off when done or time for a change it holds up really well i have it in my game room and the kids love it they can draw big or small it is very Handy to have it does start conversations you wouldn't believe try it

You can purchase blackboard paint at Lowes or Home Depot, especially for this purpose. It is usually for kids rooms, but can go anywhere, they look good framed in with trim moulding.
Well if you have a white wall already by the crayons made by CRAYOLA. my kids have them they write all over the house and they just wipe off easily and dont wreck the paint. Good luck and be a kid again... lol
