When redoing a room do you paint the trim or wall first?

Which do you paint first? When redoing a room do you paint the trim or wall first?
I like to paint the trim first, especially if it is enamel paint.Example would be a door trim, it is easier (to me) to paint the door casing, then easily come around with flat paint. The flat comes off easily on the enamel if you goof. When redoing a room do you paint the trim or wall first?
A matter of preference really. But it usually is easier to paint the walls then use a hand held plastic form along the edge of the trim so that you don't get trim paint on the wall. Or you can paint the trim then use some painters tape along the edge of the trim while you paint the wall. I've done it both ways.
The wall that way when the paint drys if droplets go down the wall it won't mix with your trimming and after the wall is complete then you paint the trim because it'd be harder for the trim to get on the wall then the wall getting on the trim i hope i really helped im eli btw so bye for now! hope i helped! :) XD
In my case (it varies by contractor), I paint the trim first. This is because I can use painter's tape on the wall to mask off areas without worrying about pulling off any fresh paint. It's easier to cut in walls with a 2 inch tapered brush without tape.
the wall casue if u get it on the trim u paint over it
