My bedroom is our basement and I want to paint one of my walls with chalkboard paint. i don't have any experience with it and i've been doing some research. i'd like it to be magnetic too. will the chalkboard paint and magnetic paint work on the basement wall? Can you use chalkboard paint on a basement wall?
I agree in part with answer 1 and paint every day of my life. I'll assume the wall is smooth, and the paint is likely latex? To actually chalk it, might degrade it over time, as it isn't an actual chalkboard.
While you may get some answers regarding metallic infused paint, I suspect you'd have a difficult time buying it, if it even exists.
I'll assume the Magnet issue is for the use of magnets that will hold things to the wall, posters, etc. Why not just use poster clay, for sticking? Michaels as well as other craft shops sell it. Even Walgreens sells it.Can you use chalkboard paint on a basement wall?
Using this type of paint on a cemetisious surface will only bleed iron, or rust. This product should go over a surface other than the basement wall which will the paint to perform properly. have fun. no grafity.
Read the directions on the can of paint. It will tell you where not to use.I have never heard of magnetic paint.
