Best wall color to compliment white painted kitchen cabinets?

Going to redo the surface of everything, but the only thing I've committed to is painted my currently dark wood cabinets white. Suggestions for a wall color? I'll approach the floors and the counters after that. My furniture isn't anything worth matching to either.Best wall color to compliment white painted kitchen cabinets?
You can do pretty much any color with white cabinents.

Here are some faves of mine for inspiration:

M M T gave you fantastic advise. If you select the wall paint color first you are really limiting yourself to which counter top and flooring choices that will be available to match the paint. You would be working backwards if you selected the wall paint first, indeed. There are far more paint colors available to you than there are flooring and counter tops in the materials of your choice. Think about that before painting yourself into a corner.
You need to settle on the counters and flooring before making a color decision on the walls. Especially the counters because they are in the same visual plane as the walls. And that selection will help you narrow down your colors for the walls.
I think it all depends on the look you are going for. Modern, country, traditional.

Country look or French country would be to pick up on the blues.

Traditional look would be Taupe walls, white on moldings

Modern look maybe Toast with black on moldings.
How about a color in the blue range. I would go with a darker/grayish blue(more of a contemporary look) or an aqua blue. A yellow color would also look good (more of a traditional look).
A color that you would like to have in your kitchen to make it a room you want to be in. Check out hgtv.com. The only thing you have to worry about is the countertops. Hope this helps. Roxanne
Use any light color, that will look good.

You can try light blue.

Thats a good color.
I would stick to a light tan or very pale blue. These colors allow you to change out curtains and linen colors easier.
Normally very light green is the best match for

white colored stuff.
What color range is your favorite. Paint it a color you love.
